Aigoo, I have been so quiet lately, haven’t I? Well, it’s because I’ve been recovering from the most magical, heart-stopping, and absolutely daebak weekend of my life. I finally did it! I saw our 7 kings—BTS—live at the Goyang Stadium!

I’m still rubbing my eyes to make sure it wasn’t a dream. Sit down, let me tell you the whole story because, honestly, it was a literal miracle.

My “Purple” Origin Story: The COVID-19 Days

Like so many of you, I didn’t become an ARMY at the very beginning. I found BTS during those long, lonely days of the COVID-19 lockdown. When the world felt like it was standing still and everything was so gray, their music was the only thing that brought color back into my life.

For years, I’ve been watching them through a tiny phone screen, dreaming of the day I could hear “Spring Day” or “Mic Drop” in person. I told myself, “One day, kmama is going to be in that purple ocean.” But you know how it is—life happens, they went to the military, and that dream felt so far away.

The Ticketing Bloodbath (and the Miracle!)

When the 2026 tour was announced, I was ready. I had three devices open, my heart was racing, but… aigoo, the “Sold Out” screen appeared before I could even blink! I was devastated. I cried a little bit (don’t tell anyone!), thinking I’d missed my chance again.

But let me tell you, never underestimate a sister’s love (and her obsession!). My older sister is a legendary “hardcore” ARMY. She didn’t give up. For days, she sat there refreshing the page, looking for a miracle. And then, just one day before the concert, she did it! She managed to grab a “Chwi-ke-ting” (취케팅)—a cancellation ticket!

I couldn’t believe it. One moment I was moping at home, and the next, I was packing my lightstick and screaming. Jinjja, I owe her my life!

Goyang Stadium: A Scale You Won’t Believe

When I arrived at the Goyang Stadium, my jaw literally dropped. I’ve seen big places before, but this? The scale was overwhelming. It felt like a small city made of purple light.

When the lights went down and the first beat dropped, the roar of the crowd was so loud I could feel it in my chest. Seeing all seven of them standing there together—not as pixels, but as real people—was a moment I will never forget. They are even more handsome in person, omo! Their energy, their dancing, and the way they looked at us… you could just feel the love. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a homecoming.

A Global Family: Meeting My “Global Kids”

The best part, aside from the music, was the people. I was standing there in my merch, feeling a bit shy, when a group of fans from overseas tapped my shoulder.

There were fans from the US, Brazil, Japan, and France all around me! We couldn’t all speak the same language perfectly, but it didn’t matter. We spent the whole pre-show taking photos for each other, sharing snacks, and talking about our “bias.”

I felt this incredible bond—this yudaegam (유대감)—with people I had never met before. We were all there for the same reason. It didn’t matter where we came from; in that stadium, we were all just ARMY. It made me realize again why I love being your kmama and sharing this culture with you.
